Andualem Alemayehu is an Ethiopian dissident, a one time member of an opposition organization, who was forced to flee from his country. He went to Eritrea and from there he broadcast radio programs exposing the Meles Zenawi regime for its human rights violations and crimes. For reasons unknown, the Eritrean authorities sent Andualem to the Sudan where he was promptly arrested and jailed in the central Kober prison. SOCEPP issued a statement calling for his immediate release and a stop on any deportation process.
