Statement (June 5, 2024): Behind the genocide of Palestine in Gaza, a brutal and condemnable genocide is taking place in Ethiopia as the fascist Oromo regime of a brutal colonel tries to wipe out the Amhara people and change Ethiopia into fragmented ethnic Bantustans. The repression in Ethiopia is taking place with the open support of US and United Arab Emirates.
The fascist regime is presently peddling an all-inclusive so-called national dialogue. The regime and its acolytes are trying to sell this as a step towards peace and reconciliation. Nothing could be farther from the truth. The futile exercise includes pro American treasonous groups and marginalizes Ethiopian groups like the Amhara Fano forces and the EPRP that has been struggling for democracy in Ethiopia for the last 50 years. The so called Dialogue for broad national consultation is a fiction as the genocider regime aims to talk by itself with puppet groups and similar ethnic secessionists. There is a time for talks and no times for one. There can be none with the fascist regime that is determined to commit genocide against Amharas and other people that oppose it.
The previous narrow Tigrean regime was openly against peace and reconciliation. The present Oromo cabal is the same but trying to dupe public opinion by claiming otherwise. The massacre that was ushered in Burayu some five years ago has now bloodied all the Amhara areas and killed thousands.
We condemn the genocide in Ethiopia. We call on the Emirate and Washington to stop backing the regime; stop assisting and aiding the genocider regime that is convulsing on its death bed.
